Power Thought….

Considering when Jesus fed five thousand people:

Jesus gave the apostles very specific instructions to give to the people. He told them to tell everyone to sit down. Then food was given to those that sat and waited to eat. They followed the instructions and had an expectation to be fed. This makes me believe that some didn’t eat because they weren’t willing to sit down because they didn’t expect to get fed.

There is much to be said about our posture before the Lord. It is very possible to be offered a spiritual meal and yet, not eat because we come with the wrong posture. We come full of pride. We come full of ourselves. We come hungry for the wrong things. We come entitled. We come focused on everybody except the One that can feed us. And we come requesting and preferring the meal to be served this way and that way. This all amounts to a refusal to sit down.

Don’t miss out on your meal because you refuse to sit down. It won’t be Jesus’s fault you’re still hungry.

Be humble. Sit down!
